Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support the data engineering team, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will develop high-volume data processing jobs and collaborate closely with data scientists and analysts in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high volume data processing jobs across platforms such as Redshift, Athena, Iceberg, Spark, and Airflow
- Collaborate with Data Scientists to translate theories and methodologies into viable products
- Identify system performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements for process efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of direct experience working with Python and a strong understanding of programming concepts
- Experience with high volume distributed data processing in Spark
- Strong working knowledge of SQL, databases (MySQL / Redshift / Athena), and modern data warehouse management
- Experience with AWS cloud services and event-driven architecture is a plus
