Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance data solutions for Pharmacy Benefit Management clients, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will maintain complex data systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and implement best practices in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver data solutions while participating in Agile Scrum ceremonies
- Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning and indexing strategies
- Produce detailed technical specifications and assist in troubleshooting pharmacy claim-related issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or 4+ years of equivalent experience
- 10+ years of SQL database development experience with Microsoft SQL Server tools
- 5+ years of experience with Data Warehouse methodologies
- Expertise in query tuning and performance optimization
- Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions such as Azure SQL Database or AWS RDS
