Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Rebuilding the company's data pipeline from the ground up, the remote Senior Data/Platform Engineer will modernize the platform and establish scalable solutions while designing integrations for APIs and managing AWS infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
- Rebuild and modernize a legacy data pipeline to create scalable and reliable ingestion, processing, and storage solutions
- Design and develop integrations for APIs, vendor file feeds, and external data sources
- Establish observability, monitoring, and operational standards for production data systems
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in building and supporting large-scale data platforms or data engineering environments
- Proven experience in re-architecting or modernizing data pipelines and infrastructure
- Strong proficiency in Python, Node.js, or similar backend development technologies
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies
- Advanced SQL and data warehousing expertise with platforms like Redshift or Snowflake
