Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the end-to-end data processes for a business domain, the full-time remote Senior Data Engineer will design and implement reliable data ingestion systems, ensure data quality, and deliver comprehensive data pipelines while collaborating closely with stakeholders to support the firm's growth and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build data ingestion processes using various sources, ensuring reliability and correctness
- Establish data quality frameworks and monitoring systems to maintain trust in business metrics
- Deliver complete data pipelines, including documentation and transformations, to support analytics and AI applications
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining production data pipelines
- Expert-level knowledge of dbt for staging/mart architecture, including incremental models and tests
- Mastery of API-based data ingestion techniques and handling various source types
- Strong Python skills for developing and maintaining ingestion code
- Experience with orchestration tools and modern cloud data warehouses like BigQuery or Snowflake
