Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Data Engineer will design and implement data infrastructure, build scalable pipelines, and engage with clients to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and implement modern data platforms, ensuring optimal data architecture and technology selection
- Build and maintain scalable and secure data ingestion and transformation pipelines, integrating access controls and data governance
- Collaborate with client teams to scope requirements, present architectural decisions, and communicate trade-offs effectively
Required qualifications
- Significant experience with production data systems and senior-level ownership of architecture decisions
- Deep understanding of modern data architecture and hands-on experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks
- Knowledge of building scalable and secure data pipelines using orchestration and transformation frameworks
- Experience implementing streaming pipelines with technologies such as Kafka, Flink, or Redpanda
- Strong opinions on data modeling best practices, including Kimball and Data Vault methodologies
