Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
To build and enhance the Data Platform infrastructure, the remote Senior Staff Data Engineer will design and improve systems for processing large-scale data, evaluate new technologies, and mentor team members while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and improve systems for efficiently processing data at the scale of tens of terabytes per day
- Evaluate and implement new technologies while setting best-practice standards across Data Engineering and Data Platform Engineering
- Drive cross-functional projects and mentor teammates to develop engineering best practices within the Data Organization
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, Data Science, or Data Analyst roles
- Deep expertise in Data Engineering and Data Platform Engineering
- Experience with data tooling in GCP, AWS, or Azure, including technologies like Pub/Sub, BigQuery, and Dataflow
- Advanced coding skills in SQL and Python
- Experience in a leadership role, such as tech lead or team lead in Data Engineering or Data Platform management
