Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Driving technical strategy and execution, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will define the long-term data engineering vision, manage data quality and governance, and mentor team members while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Define the long-term data engineering strategy and make high-impact technical choices
- Deliver major features and systems reliably, ensuring alignment with business goals
- Influence cross-functional teams and mentor other engineers to enhance their skills and impact
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering with an advanced degree, or 12+ years with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Mastery of data modeling, database design, and data warehouse technologies such as Snowflake
- Strong skills in PySpark, SQL, and Python; experience with C#/C++, Go, Java, or Scala is a plus
- Hands-on experience with leading ETL tools and frameworks like Apache Spark and Airflow
- Proven track record of managing the entire data lifecycle and making organization-wide decisions
