Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support the organization's data initiatives, the remote contract Senior Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain the data platform infrastructure, manage the Snowflake-based data lake, and ensure efficient data flow across enterprise systems.
Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain the foundational data platform infrastructure for analytics and data science teams
- Manage the organization's Snowflake data lake and sustain the Medallion data architecture
- Integrate data from multiple source systems and build datasets for various consumer needs, including BI and ML/AI applications
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering with hands-on ownership of production data pipelines
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for data pipeline development and automation
- Deep experience with Snowflake, including warehouse management and query optimization
- Experience in implementing Data Governance practices, including access control and data quality management
