Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support a healthcare technology organization, the remote Senior Data/Platform Engineer will rebuild and modernize the company's data pipeline, design integrations for various data sources, and develop AWS infrastructure using modern technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Rebuild and modernize a legacy data pipeline, ensuring scalable and reliable data ingestion, processing, and storage solutions
- Design and develop integrations for APIs, vendor file feeds, and external data sources like BigQuery
- Establish observability and operational standards for production data systems while leading data migration and reconciliation efforts
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in building and supporting large-scale data platforms or data engineering environments
- Proven experience in re-architecting or modernizing data pipelines and platforms
- Strong proficiency in Python, Node.js, Go, TypeScript, or similar backend technologies
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies
- Advanced SQL and data warehousing expertise with platforms like Redshift or Snowflake
