Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the data backbone of the Atlas Data Lake, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will design and build ingestion and transformation pipelines while ensuring data governance and quality in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build ingestion and transformation pipelines over the Atlas Data Lake and Databricks
- Model and maintain the Graph Database supporting the Ontology Graph in collaboration with the AI Engineer
- Implement data governance practices, including lineage, cataloguing, quality control, and access management
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, particularly with lakehouse and streaming pipelines
- Proficiency in SQL and Python, as well as Spark for batch and structured streaming
- Experience with graph databases such as Neo4j or Cosmos DB and graph data modeling
- Familiarity with data governance and lineage tools like Unity Catalog or Purview
- Knowledge of Postgres, Redis, and event streaming technologies like Azure Event Hub or Kafka
