Senior Data Engineering Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Manager, Data Engineering to lead and develop their Data Operations and Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Data Engineers while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement
• Serve as the primary liaison between the Data Engineering team and other departments to translate business needs into technical requirements
• Oversee daily data operations, ensuring high uptime and compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with at least 2 years in a management or technical leadership role
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms and their respective data services
• Expert proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in modern data warehousing/data lake concepts
• Demonstrable experience working with sensitive healthcare data and ensuring HIPAA compliance
