Senior Data Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of data engineers, the full-time Senior Data Engineering Manager will design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines and architectures while ensuring high-quality data solutions are delivered remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, setting clear goals and conducting performance reviews
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of data engineering initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and quality standards
• Provide technical direction for ETL/ELT development and ensure adherence to engineering best practices

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 8-12+ years of experience in data engineering or data architecture, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and data modeling, along with strong experience in ETL/ELT tools
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, or AWS
• Familiarity with healthcare data, including PHI/PII, is preferred
