Senior Data Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a global team of data engineers, the full-time Senior Data Engineering Manager will develop engineers, guide technical architecture, and directly contribute to large-scale data systems supporting AI platforms and customer-facing data feeds in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the data engineering team to build and scale data systems for various business units
• Partner with Technical Product Managers to translate roadmap priorities into scalable technical plans
• Utilize AI coding tools to enhance methodologies and improve team productivity

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related technical roles
• 3+ years of managerial experience, including mentoring and team leadership
• Strong hands-on expertise with SQL, PySpark, Databricks, and Airflow
• Experience building and maintaining business-critical data systems
• Deep technical judgment in data modeling, pipeline architecture, and data quality
