Job Summary

Leading a dynamic team of data engineers, the full-time Senior Data Engineering Manager will oversee the design and implementation of scalable data infrastructure using Databricks, ensuring secure and efficient data handling while collaborating closely with business and product management in a remote role.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of skilled data engineers to deliver high-quality work
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines on Databricks, optimizing infrastructure for performance and cost
• Partner with business teams to define and drive the technical and business data roadmap, translating business needs into technical requirements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of technology industry experience, including prior people-management experience
• Expertise in Databricks and its ecosystem, including Delta Lake and MLflow
• Strong knowledge of data governance practices and data protection management
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or SQL
