Senior Data Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of data professionals, the full-time Senior Data Engineering Manager will oversee data architecture, governance, and analytics engineering, driving data democratization and team expansion in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead a team of Analytics Engineers and Data Engineers, establishing technical standards and career growth paths
• Own the architecture and strategy for data ingestion, warehouse modeling, and analytics engineering, ensuring robust governance and security frameworks
• Serve as the product manager for data-related systems, translating stakeholder requirements into actionable roadmaps and ensuring appropriate tooling and access

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering and/or analytics engineering, with direct people management experience
• Proven ability to attract and scale engineering talent while maintaining high technical standards
• Demonstrated experience in end-to-end data platform architecture and product ownership in a regulated industry
• Deep expertise in cloud data warehouses, orchestration tools, and ingestion tooling
• Practical experience in designing role-based access control frameworks and data governance practices
