Senior Data Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading the Business Intelligence data engineering function, the full-time Senior Data Engineering Manager will set the technical vision, drive cross-functional data strategy, and build scalable data infrastructure while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical vision and roadmap for BI data engineering, aligning it with company strategy and analytics needs
• Design, build, and review scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and workflow orchestration systems, contributing hands-on production code in Python and SQL
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration

Required qualifications

• 8-10+ years of experience in data engineering or a closely related field, including 3-5+ years leading and managing data or software engineers
• 5+ years of advanced SQL and Python development experience in production environments
• Strong hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines in production
• Proficiency with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS) and modern ingestion, transformation, and orchestration tools
• Demonstrated ability to define technical strategy and standards while remaining capable of direct technical execution
