Senior Data Governance Lead

Job Summary

Seeking a part-time Senior Data Governance Lead for a 26-week enterprise data warehouse implementation, this role will design and implement a data governance framework for a Microsoft Fabric platform, addressing fragmented legacy data across multiple domains including trading, risk, finance, and logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the enterprise data governance framework across OneLake and Fabric workspace layers, focusing on cataloging, lineage, ownership, and access control
• Define and enforce data cataloging standards for various asset types, including Lakehouse tables and Warehouse objects
• Establish end-to-end data lineage tracking from source systems through transformation layers to final reporting data products

Required qualifications

• 7+ years in data governance, data management, or data architecture with experience in production governance framework implementations
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or Fabric governance capabilities, with Microsoft Purview as a strong advantage
• Strong background in data lineage, metadata management, and data quality frameworks at an enterprise scale
• Familiarity with financial or commodity trading data domains and governance complexities of multi-source environments
• Bachelor's degree in a technical, data, or business field (or equivalent experience)
