Senior Data Governance Manager

Job Summary

Leading the establishment and maturation of enterprise-wide data governance capabilities, the full-time remote Senior Data Governance Manager will oversee data governance, stewardship, metadata management, and compliance with healthcare regulations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and security.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and continuously improve the enterprise data governance program, including policies and standards
• Serve as the primary expert on HIPAA, PII, and PHI compliance, defining data handling and access standards
• Lead governance strategy for the Snowflake data platform, ensuring operationalization of governance controls

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 8+ years of experience in data governance or related disciplines
• Demonstrated experience in implementing enterprise data governance programs in regulated environments
• Strong expertise in HIPAA, PHI, PII, and healthcare data compliance practices
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably Snowflake
• Familiarity with governance and cataloging platforms such as Collibra or Microsoft Purview preferred
