Senior Data Governance Specialist
Job Summary
To design and lead the development of an enterprise data governance framework, the remote Senior Data Governance Specialist will manage data standards, governance processes, and compliance with federal data policies while providing subject-matter expertise on data governance best practices.
Key responsibilities
- Develop data standards, naming conventions, and quality thresholds for data environments
- Lead the identification and training of data stewards, managing protocols and community practices
- Support the operationalization of governance processes, including data quality reviews and access request processing
Required qualifications
- CDMP or DGSP certification
- Experience with Microsoft Purview governance controls
- Familiarity with DoD Data Strategy and VAULTIS goals
- Experience with federated governance models
- Experience developing data classification and access governance frameworks
