Senior Data Loss Prevention Analyst

Job Summary

To support data security initiatives, the full-time remote Senior Data Loss Prevention Analyst will lead investigations into data loss incidents, design and tune DLP policies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate insider risks.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead complex data loss investigations from alert to closure, focusing on potential insider risks
• Design, build, and tune DLP policies and detection rules in Microsoft Purview
• Collaborate with Legal, HR, Compliance, and Privacy on investigations and prepare findings for diverse audiences

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field with 6 years of experience; or Master's Degree with 5 years; or PhD with no experience
• Experience in information security, particularly in data loss prevention or insider risk
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview DLP and Insider Risk Management
• Demonstrated proficiency in Splunk for security investigations
• Strong understanding of data classification and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS)
