Senior Data Manager/SAS Programmer

Job Summary

To support clinical and epidemiological research, the full-time remote Senior Data Manager/SAS Programmer will manage data management activities, develop databases and workflows, and perform advanced SAS programming to ensure data integrity and compliance throughout the research lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead data management for clinical and observational studies from start-up to closeout, ensuring data completeness and accuracy
• Design and maintain study databases and data management processes, including data collection instruments and validation rules
• Perform advanced SAS programming for data cleaning, transformation, and validation, while developing automated programming solutions

Required qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. degree in computer science, health sciences, or related field, with relevant experience in health research programming and data management
• Advanced SAS programming skills, including experience with DATA and PROC steps, macro programming, and complex data validation
• Proven experience managing complex research data, particularly in clinical or epidemiologic studies
• Strong understanding of the full research data lifecycle, including data collection, cleaning, and quality control
• Ability to lead data management activities independently, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality work within timelines
