Senior Data Platform Engineer

Job Summary

Driving the technical direction of the Data Platform team, the full-time Senior Data Platform Engineer will design and build scalable components for data ingestion and processing, develop API services, and optimize data storage systems in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable components for high-throughput data ingestion and processing
• Develop systems for storing and serving batch data for analytics
• Contribute to the design and implementation of API services and event-driven applications

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, particularly with distributed or data-intensive systems
• Strong experience in designing and implementing distributed systems for data ingestion, storage, and processing
• Proven expertise in operating large-scale multi-tenant systems with high availability and performance
• Ability to take ownership of real-time production systems and align technical requirements with business needs
• Experience with batch and real-time data processing technologies such as Apache Flink
