Senior Data Platform Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Senior Data Platform Engineer will develop and maintain a secure data and AI platform, build scalable data pipelines, and implement data governance practices to support federal background investigation services.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain enterprise-grade data pipelines and ETL workflows
• Implement data governance best practices and ensure compliance with standards such as FedRAMP Moderate and NIST 800-171
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver analysis-ready datasets

Required qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in designing and maintaining data pipelines
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data transformation and analysis
• Experience with cloud data platforms, preferably Azure
• Knowledge of data governance tools and orchestration frameworks like Airflow or dbt
• Ability to work independently in a regulated environment with minimal supervision
