Senior Data Platform Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Senior Data Platform Engineer will manage key systems and tooling to ensure reliable data pipelines and tooling, collaborating with data, analytics, and actuarial teams to enhance insights that impact member care.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the orchestration consolidation to Dagster, overseeing technical design, implementation, and rollout
- Contribute to the custom dbt-core infrastructure, scaling to over 50 dbt projects and 15 thousand models
- Develop proactive monitoring and alerting for tooling and data pipelines while mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative culture
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in building, shipping, and supporting software in production
- Proficiency in Python and experience operating systems on AWS, including job orchestration with Dagster or Airflow
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform, and contributing to CI processes
- Familiarity with AI tooling that enhances developer productivity and code quality
- Background as a data or platform engineer in a modern data stack environment, preferably in a growth-stage company
