Senior Data Platform Engineer
Job Summary
To support the architectural design and execution strategy for merging Databricks workspaces or Snowflake accounts, the full-time Senior Data Platform Engineer will focus on consolidating data catalogs, auditing security models, migrating ETL/ELT pipelines, and optimizing cloud resources in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Consolidate data catalogs into a unified governance model
- Audit and merge distinct security models and access controls
- Refactor and migrate legacy ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestration routines
Required qualifications
- 4-6 years of experience in Data Platform Engineering or Data Architecture
- Proven experience managing AWS ecosystems, focusing on cross-account access
- Deep expertise in either Databricks or Snowflake
- Strong experience writing Terraform scripts for infrastructure provisioning
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for auditing and refactoring code
