Senior Data Platform Engineer
Job Summary
Building core data platform capabilities, the full-time Senior Data Platform Engineer will develop services and APIs for data access and processing while working remotely within the U.S.
Key responsibilities
- Develop services and APIs for data access, query execution, ingestion, and synchronization
- Create reusable connector frameworks and abstractions for various systems and access patterns
- Ensure execution reliability through orchestration, retries, checkpointing, and observability
Required qualifications
- At least 4+ years of experience as a Data Platform Engineer
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with experience in building maintainable production software
- Experience in developing backend services or data infrastructure beyond configuring pipelines
- Solid understanding of relational databases, query optimization, and data formats
- Familiarity with concurrent or distributed workloads, including failure handling and performance debugging
