Senior Data Scientist

Job Summary

To enhance guest experiences and optimize operations, the part-time Senior Data Scientist will design and implement AI and machine learning models remotely for a 4-month contract in Chicago, IL.

Key responsibilities:

• Translate business problems into well-defined data science projects aligned with business goals and KPIs
• Design and optimize advanced machine learning and operations research models to address complex challenges
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data-driven solutions and monitor model performance

Required qualifications:

• Master's degree in computer science, statistics, industrial engineering, or related fields; PhD preferred
• 5+ years of experience in data science, operations research, or a related area (2+ years for candidates with a PhD)
• Expertise in operations research modeling and tools (e.g., CPLEX, Gurobi)
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, and machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow)
• Experience developing solutions in a Cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP) with large datasets
