Senior Data Scientist

Job Summary

Partnering closely with product, engineering, design, and business stakeholders, the full-time Senior Data Scientist will lead strategic analysis across the subscription funnel for Yahoo Mail, focusing on acquisition, conversion, and retention while driving data-driven insights and experimentation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic analysis to optimize the subscription funnel, including acquisition, conversion, and churn metrics
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights and drive product innovation
• Manage and execute rigorous experimentation to enhance user engagement and retention strategies

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in data science or product analytics, with at least 4 years holding a Ph.D
• Master's Degree in math, engineering, statistics, data science, or a related field
• Expertise in data querying languages (e.g., SQL) and scripting languages (e.g., Python)
• Experience with big data technologies such as BigQuery, Hive, Hadoop, and Spark
• Strong machine learning skills, including predictive modeling and A/B testing frameworks
