Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Data Scientist (Contract) to support a research initiative focused on understanding traffic sources and engagement on Wikimedia projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct descriptive analyses of traffic patterns and visibility trends
• Support assessments of the relationship between traffic sources and on-wiki engagement
• Assist in analyzing the impact of visibility changes on editing activity and content quality

Required Qualifications

• Advanced SQL skills for large-scale distributed datasets
• Expertise in Python, including libraries such as pandas, numpy, and scikit-learn
• Experience with time-series modeling and applied causal inference methods
• Familiarity with log-level or large behavioral datasets
• Ability to work collaboratively in GitLab repositories
