Senior Data Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to support product initiatives with experience in lead qualification, anomaly detection, fraud prevention, and underwriting.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the Data Science strategy for the Capital team, building underwriting and fraud detection systems from the ground up
• Develop sophisticated models for lead qualification, anomaly detection, fraud prevention, and credit underwriting
• Partner closely with Product and Engineering to integrate risk signals and underwriting logic into customer-facing flows

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of data science experience, preferably in fintech, credit, lending, or payments
• Deep expertise in fraud and/or underwriting with the ability to build risk-balanced models
• Proficient in SQL and Python, capable of building, deploying, and monitoring models in production
• Understanding of mobile apps or developer ecosystems, or a strong willingness to learn
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and make high-stakes decisions with limited information
