Senior Data Scientist

Job Summary

As a full-time remote opportunity, the Senior Data Scientist will lead the development of advanced analytics products to detect and mitigate cryptocurrency fraud and financial crime, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate customer challenges into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and roadmap of analytics and AI products focused on uncovering insights from complex blockchain data
• Develop statistical analyses, algorithms, and visualizations to identify new threat vectors in the cryptocurrency space
• Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to design algorithms for analyzing complex data structures related to cryptocurrencies and blockchains

Required qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or Physics
• 8+ years of experience in an analytical role with a strong background in relational databases (e.g., SQL)
• Proven experience building scalable data and analytics products from design to deployment
• Strong programming skills, preferably in Python, with experience in collaborative coding environments
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
