Senior Data Scientist

Job Summary

Leading AI/ML initiatives, the full-time Senior Data Scientist will manage end-to-end projects to enhance student engagement and retention through predictive modeling and data-driven insights in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead AI/ML initiatives from scoping to implementation, driving measurable business outcomes related to student engagement and retention
• Build and deploy predictive models to support proactive student outreach and monitor their performance in production
• Design and execute A/B testing programs to assess the impact of models on student outcomes and iterate based on findings

Required qualifications

• 5-8+ years of experience in applied machine learning or data science, preferably in education or consumer tech
• Strong background in predictive analytics, recommendation systems, and experimentation methodologies
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience using ML libraries such as scikit-learn and TensorFlow
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, statistics, or engineering
• Experience with modern MLOps frameworks like Databricks and MLFlow
