Senior Data Scientist

Job Summary

To drive innovation in the insurance and reinsurance industry, the full-time remote Senior Data Scientist will architect and implement advanced machine learning and generative AI solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to translate complex insights into actionable strategies while mentoring junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy sophisticated machine learning models to address critical business challenges such as underwriting automation and pricing optimization
• Lead the development and implementation of generative AI solutions, ensuring responsible AI practices and identifying high-value use cases
• Serve as a technical authority and mentor, guiding colleagues on best practices in machine learning modeling and fostering a culture of technical excellence

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field; or a Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in data science and machine learning
• Advanced proficiency in Python and/or R for data manipulation and machine learning solution deployment
• Hands-on experience with generative AI technologies, including large language models and prompt engineering
• Expertise in SQL for data querying and transformation, with experience in both structured and unstructured data
