Senior Data Scientist

Job Summary

Owning retention and churn initiatives, the full-time remote Senior Data Scientist will develop churn models, drive retention strategies, and create personalized experiences to enhance customer loyalty and win back churned clients.

Key responsibilities

• Build churn and survival models to identify at-risk customers and predict their lifecycle states
• Implement retention interventions and analyze reasons for customer churn to tailor responses effectively
• Develop propensity models and personalized experiences aimed at re-engaging churned customers

Required qualifications

• 5-8+ years of experience in data science, applied machine learning, or statistics with a focus on production models
• Expertise in churn prediction, survival modeling, and lifecycle-state models within a subscription or recurring-revenue context
• Strong background in causal and experimentation methodologies, including A/B testing and uplift measurement
• Proficient in end-to-end machine learning processes, including model building, validation, and deployment
• Educational background with a BS in a quantitative field; MS/PhD preferred
