Job Summary

Leading research initiatives remotely, the full-time Senior Data Scientist will manage data and analytic strategies for grant-funded projects focused on health and drug policies, opioid misuse, and firearm violence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee data management and analytic processes for multiple research projects, ensuring adherence to best practices
• Develop comprehensive analytic plans and prepare datasets for analysis, applying advanced statistical methods
• Supervise junior research staff and provide mentorship to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows on data-intensive projects

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field with a minimum of 7 years of experience in academic or scientific research support
• Demonstrated expertise in research data management and advanced statistical analysis
• Proficiency in statistical and programming tools such as R, Python, SQL, or SAS
• Strong understanding of data privacy and regulatory compliance frameworks
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced research environment
