Senior Data Scientist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Data Scientist will own the data science strategy for RC Capital, developing models for lead qualification, anomaly detection, fraud prevention, and credit underwriting while collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build and define the foundation for underwriting and fraud detection systems from the ground up
• Develop sophisticated models using real-time app revenue data to improve underwriting and product design
• Analyze cross-platform revenue data and create mechanisms for measuring impact and evaluating model performance

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of data science experience, preferably in fintech, credit, lending, or payments
• Deep expertise in fraud and/or underwriting with experience in building risk models
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, with the ability to build, deploy, and monitor models in production
• Understanding of mobile apps and developer ecosystems, or a strong willingness to learn
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and make high-stakes decisions with limited information
