Senior Data Scientist

Job Summary

To support a growing data science team, the remote Staff Data Scientist will build and own predictive models for vendor matching, order routing, and supply chain optimization, while mentoring senior data scientists and adapting to evolving business needs.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement models for vendor matching, order routing, and supply chain optimization, transitioning into new problem areas as required
• Design confidence thresholds and decision logic for autonomous systems, advancing the team's work towards agentic AI
• Collaborate with data engineering to ship models from experimentation to production, while quantifying the impact of solutions with real data

Required qualifications:

• Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or Operations Research
• 7+ years of experience in data science, demonstrating independence and expertise as a senior individual contributor
• Hands-on proficiency in Python and SQL, with a strong foundation in predictive machine learning techniques
• Experience in the full software development lifecycle, including familiarity with GitHub for version control and code review
• Prior experience in an early-stage healthcare startup, particularly with claims data and healthcare analytics
