Senior Data Scientist

Job Summary

Driving product strategy through data insights, the full-time remote Senior Data Scientist will lead causal analysis, enhance experimentation practices, and create self-serve tools while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support key product areas at Reddit.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop action-oriented insights through observational causal analysis and experiment meta-analysis for stakeholder communication
• Uplevel experimentation practices by guiding design, execution, and deep dive analyses of A/B tests
• Create new ETLs, tables, dashboards, and self-serve tools to facilitate data access for data scientists and partners

Required qualifications:

• Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or Operations Research
• 5+ years of industry experience in applied science or data science roles for M.S. holders; 4+ years for Ph.D. holders
• Expertise in SQL and programming languages (e.g., R/Python)
• Deep understanding of online experimentation (A/B testing) and causal inference
• Strong technical communication skills with the ability to discuss complex topics with diverse audiences
