Senior Data Scientist

Job Summary

Focusing on model evaluation and quality for football machine learning models, the remote Senior Data Scientist will contribute to model evaluation efforts, build testing tools, and collaborate with subject-matter experts to ensure effective model usage.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to model evaluation across football models and drive one or two threads end-to-end
• Build and extend tooling for testing, comparing, and shipping models
• Collaborate with football experts to design evaluations that reflect real-world model applications

Required qualifications

• Strong statistical foundations, including calibration and bootstrapping
• Experience contributing to model evaluation on a production machine learning team
• Familiarity with production ML pipelines, including issues like schema drift and label noise
• Proven ability to build tooling for model evaluation
• Demonstrated self-starter with a capacity to absorb complex domain knowledge
