Senior Data Scientist

Job Summary

Working fully remote, the Senior Data Scientist will apply advanced analytics and machine learning to tackle complex healthcare challenges, leading the development of analytical solutions and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance Medicaid and CHIP programs.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate research and develop solutions to enhance business operations and policy for Medicaid and CHIP programs
• Lead evaluations of advanced technologies to identify optimal solutions for business problems
• Design and implement natural language processing and LLM/RAG projects to extract insights from unstructured text data

Required qualifications

• Master's degree with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including at least 6 years in information technology, or equivalent education and experience
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in complex data analysis and data visualization for decision-making and program oversight
• Expert-level proficiency in Python programming and experience with data science and machine learning libraries
• Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technologies
• Demonstrated experience in Medicaid and CHIP domains, including data analysis and performance indicators
