Senior Data Scientist

Job Summary

To drive decision-making across the platform's payment experience, the remote Senior Data Scientist will lead quantitative measurement efforts, focusing on payments fraud mitigation and loss optimization while employing causal inference methods and machine learning model evaluation.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and apply causal inference methods to measure platform impacts
• Build and evaluate machine learning models to optimize user behavior classification and segmentation
• Deliver research reports and data visualizations while collaborating with stakeholders to communicate findings effectively

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a quantitative analysis role with a Master's degree in a quantitative field or 3+ years with a PhD
• Strong knowledge of causal inference, experimentation, and applied statistical modeling
• Proficiency in statistical programming (Python or R) and SQL
• Demonstrated ability to own a business or technical domain end-to-end
• Payments fraud/risk domain expertise is a strong plus
