Senior Data Scientist

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Data Scientist to work remotely, who will lead data acquisition efforts, mentor team members in data analysis best practices, and develop data-driven strategies to support business stakeholders and decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead data acquisition and ensure data quality while adhering to privacy policies
• Mentor team members on data cleaning and analysis, identifying gaps and onboarding new data sets
• Drive best practices for model validation and collaborate with teams to explore new opportunities for transformative solutions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 5+ years of experience in data science, or a Master's degree with 3+ years, or a Doctorate with 1+ year of experience
• Experience managing structured and unstructured data and applying statistical techniques
• Technical understanding of data science techniques, including regression and classification
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with SQL and data manipulation tools
• Able to communicate findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders through storytelling and visualization
