Senior Data Scientist

Job Summary

Seeking a product-minded Senior Data Scientist, the full-time remote position will focus on transforming raw operational data into actionable insights that enhance customer decision-making and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the outcome by addressing ambiguous customer problems, determining the appropriateness of machine learning solutions, and ensuring customer engagement with the final product
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Software Engineers to integrate machine learning into real product workflows, emphasizing usability and customer trust
• Define evaluation metrics for model quality and impact, and conduct A/B tests or causal analyses to verify improvements in customer outcomes

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in applied data science, ML engineering, or data engineering, with a proven track record of owning models in production
• Strong proficiency in Python and applied ML libraries for tabular data, along with solid SQL expertise
• Experience modeling messy operational data, including supervised learning, forecasting, and optimization
• Ability to build data pipelines and deploy machine learning models using tools like dbt and Snowflake
• Demonstrated success in quantifying and presenting the business impact of deployed models to diverse stakeholders
