Senior Data Scientist
Job Summary
Supporting R&D efforts in bio-polymers and sustainable materials, the full-time salaried Senior Data Scientist will utilize advanced data science, statistical modeling, and machine learning to analyze experimental and process data, driving innovation and optimizing material performance in a remote role with some travel required.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with polymer scientists and engineers to apply data-driven methods in bio-polymer research and development
- Analyze and model experimental data to identify relationships between structure, properties, and processes
- Develop predictive models for material performance, formulation design, and process optimization
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field; Master's or PhD preferred
- 10+ years of experience in data science, applied analytics, or scientific computing, preferably in materials or polymer science
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis and modeling
- Solid experience with SQL and structured/semi-structured datasets
- Demonstrated experience applying machine learning to real-world scientific data
