Senior Data Scientist
Job Summary
Supporting the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, the full-time Senior Data Scientist will provide advanced data science, analytics, modeling, and reporting to enhance understanding of humanitarian assistance data while working in a hybrid remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth data analyses and develop statistical models to support policy and program decision-making
- Create and maintain dashboards and visualizations using business intelligence tools to communicate insights effectively
- Engage with stakeholders to identify data needs and translate them into actionable analytical products
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5-10 years of relevant work experience in data science, statistical modeling, or advanced analytics
- Expertise in Python, R, SQL, and experience with business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau
- Strong knowledge of data management best practices, including data quality and governance
- Secret clearance required
