Senior Data Scientist / AI Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development and deployment of machine learning and generative AI solutions, the full-time Senior Data Scientist / AI Engineer will work remotely, focusing on building production AI systems, managing AI infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with government security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and generative AI solutions, including predictive analytics and NLP applications
• Manage local and cloud-based AI infrastructure, optimizing performance and ensuring secure deployment within Azure Government
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate operational requirements into effective technical AI solutions and prepare necessary documentation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI engineering, with 2+ years in production AI/ML systems
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries
• Experience deploying and operating open-source large language models and familiarity with Azure AI services
• Knowledge of data engineering practices, including ETL/ELT pipeline development and data quality management
