Senior Data Scientist and ML Engineer

Job Summary

To support the automation of complex tax and accounting workflows, the full-time Senior Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer will build and ship production ML systems, manage ML/AI problem spaces end-to-end, and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own ML/AI problem spaces from defining success metrics to driving projects from prototype to production
• Develop and improve models for classification, information extraction, clustering, and forecasting
• Collaborate with engineering on productionization, scalability, and model serving pipelines

Required qualifications

• MS/PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
• 6+ years of industry experience as a Data Scientist / Applied Scientist / ML Engineer with a focus on shipping ML to production
• Strong proficiency in Python and the modern data/ML ecosystem (NumPy/Pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow)
• Experience building data pipelines and working with SQL and relational databases
• Experience deploying and maintaining models in production, including monitoring and iteration
