Senior Database Administrator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Database Administrator to support the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's data infrastructure modernization.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Lead DBA for Oracle and PostgreSQL environments, designing scalable database structures
• Manage database migration from on-premise Oracle to AWS RDS for PostgreSQL
• Optimize database performance and ensure high availability and security compliance

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in database administration with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL
• Experience migrating databases to AWS RDS or Aurora PostgreSQL
• Proficiency with Terraform and shell scripting (e.g., Bash)
• Strong understanding of data security practices in federal environments
