Senior Database Administrator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Database Administrator with responsibilities in supporting Oracle RDBMS products and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day incident and deployment support for multiple database technologies, including Oracle and SQL Server
• Manage incident response via the USPS ServiceNow application and perform technical leadership in maintenance and support of distributed environments
• Develop and implement procedures for proactive problem detection, disaster recovery planning, and maintain project plans in accordance with USPS standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 20+ years of relevant experience or equivalent experience
• Able to diagnose and resolve complex problems in an Oracle RDBMS environment
• Strong knowledge and experience with UNIX and Microsoft Windows operating systems, as well as other database technologies like Postgres and NoSQL
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident to obtain and maintain US Postal Service Public Trust clearance
• Preferred experience with middle tier technologies and cloud services
