Senior Database Administrator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a PostgreSQL/MySQL Database Admin/Developer.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide database administration for RDS PostgreSQL and MySQL databases in the AWS Cloud environment
• Manage database security, user permissions, and compliance with backup strategies
• Monitor and optimize database performance and provide customer support to development teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related IT field; acceptable substitute degrees include Engineering, math, or science
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience
• Expertise in PostgreSQL (v12-16) and/or MySQL (v5.7, 8.0) administration in an enterprise environment
• Significant experience with Amazon RDS or Aurora managed services
• Deep understanding of Linux-based database environments and open-source database internals
